Everyone had a great day on Saturday 19th October at the Dereel Arts and Crafts Festival. Here are some of the highlights. Thanks to everyone who participated. Photographs by Lucy Osmond.
Visitors to the Dereel Arts and Crafts Festival were asked to contribute to a community mural. The theme of the mural was ‘In the garden” A detail from Caroline Everett’s work. The community mural for local children to paint featured things which were fun. Richard with the coffee machine, ready to make cappachinos, long blacks, latte’s hot chocolates and chai. Bunnings were helping the Community Garden Group plant out some wicking beds on the day of the Festival Bunnings donated these plants to the garden. The Brigade trucks looked magnificent against the eucalypts and a blue sky. The Dereel Fire Brigade ran a workshop to help community members create a bushfire plan.
