Update: The post below is from 2017, but we still need help. Right now our needs are very simple:

• people who want to be involved with the community of Dereel

• people who can spare an hour here or there to help in any capacity

• people interested in working out how DCHI can best function for community needs

Regular readers will be aware of the Community Planning projects active members of Dereel Community Hub Incorporated (DCHI) have been working hard to develop. This means we are short on volunteers to run the Spring Festival in 2017. Can you help us with one or more of the following skills?

Planning Skills: including project planning,
Spreadsheet Skills: recording specific details for the market stalls including payment details, stallholder requirements, space allocated.
Organisational/Co-ordination Skills: The Spring Festival works best when all of the local groups are involved. We need someone to liaise with the local community groups and work with them ensure a variety of activities on the day of the Spring Festival.
Community Engagement Skills: including good written and verbal communication skills, social media skills.
Event Organising Skills: Working our a program of events for all age groups, working with Golden Plains Shire to complete the required event planning applications, management plans, getting quotes, fundraising etc.
Administration Skills: We need to keep records of everything above.
