After a quiet couple of years, it was was wonderful to see performance back in the Dereel Soldiers Memorial Hall on Sunday. Amie Brûlée and Skyscraper Stan shared music and reflections on writing and performing to an appreciative audience.

The event was made possible by the Art In Dereel grant received by the Dereel Community Hub Inc. (DCHI) from the Golden Plains Shire. Thank you to David Jaunzems and Glynis Bryden for their work on setting up the stage and catering for the afternoon tea at interval.

During interval and after the event, excited chatter about potential ways of having more performance at the Hall was heard in every conversation. Amie and Stan both commented about the acoustics of the Hall and were impressed by the venue, so we hope to see them back here in the future.
