Held on Saturday 19th March from 12 noon until 3pm at the Dereel Soldiers Memorial Hall, Dereel Community Centre, Dereel and Surrounding Communities Men’s Shed and Dereel Brigade buildings and grounds, this is an opportunity for you to explore our local facilities and groups.
All food provided on the day by all groups is totally free. There will be a free BBQ run by the Men’s Shed and the Dereel Brigade (CFA) as well as free barista-made coffee, sandwiches, vegan and vegetarian food offered by the Dereel Community Hub Inc. (DCHI). There will also be live music.
Art In Dereel and GP Arts Inc. will be in the Hall with information on their groups, some locally made items for sale along with an art exhibition of local artists’ work.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) are local volunteers trained by Ambulance Victoria to be first responders when you call 000 for a medical emergency. The team are currently looking for new volunteers and will be available on the day to chat to you about what they do.
We will be sharing more information about the Open Day in the week to come, so please help us to spread the word by sharing our posts. The purpose of the Open Day is to give the community a chance to get together and have a relaxed afternoon.
