The Dereel Community Hub Inc. (DCHI) would like to explore ways of holding different kinds of art events in the Dereel Soldier’s Memorial Hall, and the general surrounding area. Perhaps this could include concerts, plays, poetry slams, variety shows, dances, ‘plein air’ painting, and more. If you have ideas, would like to perform or attend a specific type of event, or would like to participate in the discussion, please contact us using the form below.

We have a private chat group for people interested in discussing how art (in the broadest sense, and at all levels – beginners to advanced) can be done in Dereel. If you would like to join in, here is the link to Art In Dereel.

Art In Dereel people are going to be in the Hall as part of the Dereel Open Day on Saturday 19th March, between 12 noon and 3pm, so you can also come and chat to us in person about your ideas, or what you would like to see happen here in Dereel. On the day, we will be having an exhibition of local artwork, as well as tables of items we make, for sale. If you would would like to participate in this, please email artindereel@gmail.com – to include as many people as possible we will be hanging one or two pieces from each artist.

We hope to see you on the 19th March for the Open Day. There will be free food, and representations from all of the local community groups.
