Five years ago, the Dereel Community Hub Inc. was in its infancy. We took on the role of coordinating the three year Community Plan , and consulted with Dereel people, asking what they liked about living in Dereel, and what could make it better. The ‘Imagine Dereel’ statement came out of this process. In 2019, we had achieved many of the things we had imagined with regular events on at the Dereel Community Centre, Hub Café every Saturday, a newsletter, a community garden, an art based interest group and more. Then COVID-19 entered the picture.
If you would like to be part of re-building our community vision, we would love to see you at our Annual General Meeting.
