Integrated over a full day workshop, Jane Bear and Irene Pagram are working together to teach their individual skills. You will learn how to make a hand-felted bowl and explore techniques of eco-dying textiles and paper – a non-toxic, sustainable and eco-friendly method.
Making a simple Decorative Felt Bowl – Jane Bear
Jane particularly enjoys working with textiles, having discovered felting about 20 years ago. Her current interest is exploring 3D felted objects with various surface designs.
Come ‘n’ Try Eco-Dye – Irene Pagram
You will learn to eco-dye luxurious silk, watercolour paper and pure wool with this non-toxic, sustainable and eco-friendly method.
Irene’s love of eco-dyeing began in 2012. She discovered there was a better way to do natural dyeing than using toxic metal powder mordants and salt fixtures.
