The fruit of research, planning sessions and many discussions is looking plump and ripe for tasting in relation to the Dereel Community Garden. If you’ve been waiting for the practical, getting your hands dirty part of the project, it’s about to begin.
The Dereel Community Gardening group would love your help for a working bee on Saturday 26th November between 11am and 1pm. A lunch will be provided for the workers at 1pm.
The focus of the working bee is to prepare the first two gardens—a welcoming flower garden and a native plant garden to show the range of plants native to our region. Depending on the number of helpers there are on the day, it may also be possible to get a start on the vegetable garden.
