The Golden Plains Shire Council has provided this update on the various projects happening in Dereel:
Dereel Hall Upgrade

The Dereel Hall Upgrade is well underway and on schedule for completion in late May early June.
Works completed and underway include: under slab plumbing, slab works, framing, roofing, block work and glazing with rough-in of the electrical and plumbing to commence shortly. The new septic system has been installed, with the assistance of the CERT shed supplying temporary power, and will be commissioned within the next couple of weeks.
The internal maintenance works in the existing hall have commenced with sanding of the internal walls and the removal of the ceiling.
Dereel Men’s Shed

Shed installation and electrical works have been completed. The internal fitout of the DDA compliant toilet is well underway with completion expected within the next week or so.
A DDA complaint path will be provided to the Men’s Shed from the existing car park as part of the works to be associated with the Skate Park Upgrade. The connection of the shed to the new septic system has been completed and awaiting commissioning, as per details associated with the Dereel Hall Upgrade project.
Dereel Skate Park Upgrade
Works to commence on Monday the 4th of April. Works to take approx. 2 weeks.
Dereel Skate Park Graffiti Prevention Project
The design workshop will be held at the skate park on Tuesday 29 March 2016 at 10:00am. The proposed painting days on 4th and 5th April will now be rescheduled due to the skate park works. Dates are yet to be confirmed. Everyone is welcome to attend these sessions.
